A vibrant green tea, rolled by hand to form tight needles and sometimes called green needle tea. Grown and plucked in the southern mountains of Shanxi Province in 2023.
We stored this tea for more than a year to allow it to mellow. When we first brewed the leaves, they were tannin forward and a little too punchy. Resting allowed the tannins to soften and the naturally nutty and sweet notes to emerge, creating a more balanced brew.
Still carrying a strong tannic base, this tea is perfect for lovers of punchy, vibrant and forward teas.
The name Verdure comes from its unmistakably lush and green flavour.
