Adrift | Shou Pu’er (熟普洱)

A deep and bold addition to our shou Pu’er range.

This tea came from the suggestion of Lucy, a dear friend and cha ren in Yunnan, during our 2025 travels through China.

Plucked and fermented in 2025 in Ban’Nan, in southern Xishuangbanna Dai, this shou Pu’er is bold compared with our Distant range. With a darker, more tannic profile, the brews are rich. It will soften with time; however, it can be brewed beautifully and enjoyed now.

We named it Adrift because these leaves floated us beyond the familiar bounds of shou and into something different and bolder. We find sits with these leaves dark in colour and melodic in introspection, often leaving us adrift in the ether, unmoored in existence.
