Golden Tips - Red Tea ( 红茶)

The golden peaks of the old Growth trees.
Named for their appearance, this bud tea are the first flush of the spring season tips from the Fengqing 100 year old trees. Plucked in 2024 these fresh tips, still coated in hairs on the buds turn a bright golden colour when oxidised, like wisps of fiery gold.
When brewed a deep malty and robust flavour emerges, a mouth filling texture and a slight sweetness over all.
We sourced this beautiful and bold red tea on our 2024 trip to Yunnan.
