Side Handle Teapot - 280ml ( 茶壶 )
At the heart of tea are the leaves—and around the leaves, the vessel.
For tea to be truly honoured, the vessel must suit both the leaf and the hand that pours.
This side-handle, single-form teapot is a vessel for sharing.
Its horizontal handle offers grace, reach, and—for some—confidence in the pour.
With a generous capacity of up to 280ml and a balanced, organic shape, it’s designed with connection in mind—ideal for gatherings with loved ones.
Its smooth, glazed surface and sandy tones brighten the table, pairing beautifully with earthy settings, outdoor moments, and easeful offerings. Perfect for right-handed cha Ren.
Sourced during our 2024 travels through China, we discovered this piece in a tea house tucked within the old town of Lijiang.
In conversation with the owner and one of the craftspeople, we forged a direct connection to a lineage of true tea craftsmanship—where traditional and modern forms blend effortlessly.
Their collection ranged from bright and contemporary to aged and time-worn, each piece carrying a story, each shaped by the hands of master potters from Lijiang and its surrounding mountains.
